Instructional Fair Inc Money Blocks, Grades K-3

Use this set of 134 plastic Money Blocks to teach young children the values of common U.S. coins. Includes blocks for 100 pennies (green), 20 nickels (yellow), 10 dimes (red), and 4 quarters (blue). A 10" x 10" grid of 100 suqares printed on sturdy green cardstock represents 100 pennies or 1 dollar. Each Money Block consists of linked squares measuring 1" x 1" x 5mm thick. Each square represents 1 penny, thus a penny block is 1 square, a nickel block is 5 squares, a dime block is 10 squares, and a quarter block is 25 squares. Using the grid and the blocks, students will be able to model the value of any combination of coins from 1 cent to 1 dollar. Includes a 32-page reproducible activity book featureing a wide range of activities that support the Money Blocks. Supports current NCTM Standards.
