Inflammation is a natural process that occurs in your body as a way to protect you from infection and foreign substances.In Unani literature the efficacy of Caesalpinia bonducella as an anti inflammatory have been already reported in Unani literature but no work have been done. The objective of the study is standardization and evaluation of antiinflammatory activity of Caesalpinia bonducella on Swiss albino rats.The drug possess antiinflammatory and antioxidant activity .This might be due to the presence of phenolics and flavonoids.In conclusion Caesalpinia bonducella possess antiinflammatory activity .This type of research is needful for the people living in far flung areas.
