This book examines effective instructional strategies for adolescent males. The number of underachieving male students is rising and sadly, continues to rise among those who have been historically disadvantaged (racial/ethnic & religious minorities and low-socioeconomic status). This problem is not limited to the United States but is persistent worldwide. The 1990's focused on empowering females; however, there was nothing in place to help males. This book explores the learning differences between adolescent males and females, focusing on the learning styles of each gender. This book also examines, in detail, the 10 most effective, research-based instructional strategies specifically for adolescent male students. These instructional strategies have shown to increase academic achievement, decrease disruptive behavior and increase self-esteem in adolescent males worldwide. With proper planning and preparation these instructional strategies can positively influence student outcomes.
